School Board Announces Opening for Peter Boome's Position (Date Posted: 6/20/2008)
The Shelton School District Board of Directors announced the opening of Peter Boome's position on the Board and invites individuals to apply for his position (Director District #5) by July 15, 2008. The term of the appointment runs until November 2009. Mr. Boome resigned his position because he has been accepted into law school at the University of Washington and will be relocating.
To be eligible for appointment to Boome's position, applicants must reside within Director District #5. This includes those who reside in the following voter precincts: Arcadia 103; portions of Cloquallum 109; portions of Isabella 115; and portions of Kamilche 116 and 117. Those interested in serving may check boundary descriptions to verify eligibility by contacting the Mason County Elections office at 427-9670, ext. 749.
Applications are available on-line at the district website in either Adobe pdf format or Word format, at the Shelton School District Administrative Services Building located at 700 S. 1st St., or by contacting Alison Nutt at 426-8231. The deadline to submit the application to the district office is July 15, 2008.
