Shelton School District is calling all parents/caregivers of birth to 5-year-olds to attend a free parent workshop, Ready! for Kindergarten. This workshop will help you, as a parent, prepare your child for school success when they enter kindergarten. Skookum Rotary Club of Shelton, WA is delivering dictionaries to 4th graders in the Shelton School District. These colorful hardbound dictionaries will provide hours of learning and information to inquisitive minds in Shelton. The dictionaries are intended for students to keep and use at home, providing hands-on exploration for years to come.

Bordeaux Elementary had an incredible Fall Food Drive event this year. The school held a three-week food drive during the month of November. Donated canned and dry goods were dropped off at the main office by our students and their families.

Globally, depression is one of the leading causes of illness and disability among adolescents and, in this country, suicide is the second leading cause of death among youth and young adults ages 10 to 34.
