CHOICE Students Volunteer at Oysterfest
(Date Posted 10/8/2015)
Oysterfest 2015
Skookum Rotary, sponsor of Oysterfest, invited CHOICE students to volunteer in setting up for this great community event. 12 students and two staff members spent Thursday, October 1st out at the airport painting tables, moving equipment, hanging up signs, and performing other duties as needed.  In addition, several CHOICE students volunteered during Oysterfest itself performing services such as serving soda and timing for the West Coast Oyster Shucking Championships. Our students received a great deal of positive feedback from community members and Rotarians who were very grateful for their service.  All CHOICE students must perform 75 hours of volunteer work prior to graduation, as service to the community is a strong value for CHOICE Cats.
