2015-2018 AND BEYOND
Provide a safe and secure teaching and learning environment for all staff and students with an emphasis on overall mental wellness. The school district will develop a district-wide safety and security plan and in addition will provide appropriate safety training.
Academic achievement and graduation for ALL students.
It is the expectation that all educators provide effective instruction to all students. It is essential that teachers teach district-adopted curriculum and effectively utilize district and state assessments to improve teaching and student learning. Instructional practices will be adjusted to meet the academic needs of all students based upon district, state and national student performance data.
Refine and implement a quality evaluation and supervision program for all staff.
As educational champions, administrators will focus on meaningful supervision and evaluation of all staff, based on state and district-adopted standards and instruments.
Define and implement a quality professional development program that encompasses researched-based best practices and supports the needs of all staff.
District professional development is designed and targeted to enhance student achievement. District, building and department professional development will be aligned with district goals and priorities.
Refine the organization to become more efficient, effective and accountable to support the goals of the district.
The district encourages and expects all schools and departments to continually reflect and improve upon their organizational structure and practices.
Emphasize the importance of continuous improvement in respect to all district programs and efforts.
Recognize, celebrate, cultivate, and enhance staff, student, parent, business and community involvement.
Meaningful and on-going staff, student, parent and community engagement is expected and supported through a variety of venues at all levels of the organization.
Develop and implement a high quality 21st Century P-12 program that is highly creative and innovative.
Facilitate the passage of a bond issue, capital projects levy and maintenance and operations levy that focuses on a 21st Century teaching and learning environment. This includes safety and security, technology, and classroom environment.
