Mason Transit Authority Rules and Regulations
 
As a courtesy to and safety of everyone on MTA:
  1. Please follow all driver instructions.
  2. General public and students are allowed to ride this bus They are allowed to get on or off at any stop on the designated route.
  3. Children under 11 are not allowed to ride without an adult escort.
  4. Treat MTA staff, drivers and other customers with courtesy and proper social behavior
  5. Passengers are allowed to bring stroller, groceries, bicycles and/or skateboards etc.
  6. Understand that the seats in the front of the bus are priority seating for persons with disabilities and senior citizens.
  7. Do not disturb the driver or the other passengers, but feel free to ask the driver for assistance or information. Do not put your feet on the seats.
  8. Refrain from using vulgar or offensive language. Threatening verbally or physically is not allowed. Prohibited behavior may result in immediate suspension of service.
  9. No excessive noise. Radios and CD players may only be played through headphones.
  10. No smoking. Please refrain from eating or drinking. Do not litter.
  11. Note that the possession of illegal drugs and open containers of alcohol is illegal and not allowed on MTA.
  12. All weapons and/or ammunition (legal or not) are not allowed on MTA. It is illegal to carry on MTA any hazardous materials, including corrosives (batteries), fireworks, flammable liquids, explosive materials, uncovered glass, or potentially sharp/breakable objects.
  13. To ensure plenty of room for our riders and everyone’s safety, refrain from bringing extra large, heavy, or odd size items on MTA that cannot fit between seats or be secured.  Passengers will be responsible for loading and unloading any single item/package weighing more than 40 pounds. MTA lifts are provided only for passenger/wheelchair loading and unloading.
  14. Understand that all animals (except assist animals) must be in a pet carrier.
  15. Do not distribute literature or petitions to other passengers.
  16. It is unlawful to damage MTA property. Please report vandalism or damage to driver
