All OMS students completed Winter Benchmark assessments at the end of January.  These included the easyCBM fluency assessment, the easyCBM comprehension assessment and the Scholastic Reading Inventory.  Students took these same assessments in September and will take them again near the end of the school year.  Teachers use these measures to record student reading progress.  Students who do not meet assessment standards are given the opportunity to improve their skills through reading intervention classes.

Upon completion of Winter Benchmark testing, each of my students was given a progress report to take home to parents.  This progress report noted the student's individual scores for Fall and Winter Benchmark testing and also noted the "average" scores for students at the 6th or 7th grade level.  Please call or email if you have questions about your student's reading progress.
