About Ms. Oney

Health and fitness has always been an integral part of my life. I believe in an integrated approach to fitness through: flexibility, core, balance, strength, and power training. From 2005 to 2009 I played Division 1 collegiate volleyball for Portland State University, where I utilized this fitness approach in my own training. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in health studies with a focus in exercise science and community health.

My background includes; assistant strength and conditioning coach, core and boot camp fitness instructor, certified personal trainer, nutrition consultant and health educator. I specialize in sports performance, core conditioning, weight loss, strength training, correcting postural form, injury prevention, as well as nutrition and supplementation.

My certifications/degrees include; National Academy of Sports Medicine, American Council of Exercise, Dot Fit Fitness and Nutrition Professional, and Masters of Arts in Teaching; Health Education.

It’s important to live in the moment and so I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I am always looking for new ways to engage in professional development to seek new ideas and grow beyond my personal understanding. I also want to continue to inspire young adults toward a healthier future.

Health and Fitness Philosophy

As a health and fitness motivator my responsibility is to show you that fitness can be safe, fun and innovative. Proper exercise and nutrition not only changes your physical health, but your emotional and mental health as well.  As your instructor, my commitment is to provide you essential knowledge, tools, and motivation to succeed.
