Check out our updated winter/spring testing schedule - please note that some of these dates have changed due to snow days. Keep these dates in mind as you are planning appointments for your students. If you have any questions, please contact SHS Testing Coordinator, Angie Gourley, at 360-426-4471 x16005. Please also note that a few of our test dates require late starts for non-test takers. More information on these late start bell schedules will go out closer to the testing dates. Thank you for being sure that your students are in attendance during testing days, and every day!

Anticipated Budget Cuts for 19/20

An Important Message from Dr. Apostle: For the 2019-20 school year, the District is anticipating a nearly $5 million deficit. Much of the deficit is due to anticipated cost increases to the school district related to the new School Employee Benefit Board (SEBB) health care plan, the loss of local levy funds, and other costs that are anticipated to exceed available revenues. The District must adjust to these deficiencies while continuing to move the school district into a 21st century model that supports academies, career-connected learning, increased mental health programs, and the restructuring of our schools in terms of age-appropriate environments and instructional programs. On April 23, 2019, the school board approved a resolution to implement a Reduced Educational Program. Kindergarten Readiness & Enrollment

Do you know a child who will be five years old on or before August 31? Maybe it's your neighbor, family friend or even your own child. Spread the word... now is the time to register for kindergarten. Children turning 5 years old on or before August 31 can start kindergarten in the 2019-20 school year. Registration starts February 1, 2019.
