Shelton's Budget Realignment

Budget Realignment

Budget Realignment Information

As we come together to work toward change in how public schools are funded in Washington state, we will navigate the challenges of budget realignment and work toward a sustainable financial future for the Shelton School District.  We believe in the importance of transparency and open communication. This webpage is designed to provide our students, families, staff, and community members with accurate and up-to-date information about the budget realignment process, the factors driving these changes, and the steps we are taking to minimize the impact on our educational programs and services. We are committed maintaining the high standard of education that our community expects and deserves, including our gains in 3rd grade reading and writing scores.  We encourage you to engage and partner with us as we move forward together.

Unfortunately, as you can see by the list of articles at the bottom of this page, the budget challenges that Shelton SD is facing reflect the same issues that countless other districts across the state are experiencing.
