Shelton's Complementary Educational Resources

Complementary Educational Resources

Shelton School District
Complementary Educational Resources

UPDATED: March 23, 2020

We understand there are many questions and concerns about keeping our students engaged in learning. We are working daily to remain up to date on both State and Federal guidance provided to school districts. During our time of school closure, guidance and direction may change daily or even hourly. Please know that we are monitoring communications and responding to rapidly changing situations.

As of Friday, March 20, 2020, we are initiating complementary educational resources to Shelton School District students and families. These are designed to keep our students and families actively engaged in learning.

Currently, the Shelton School District is unable to provide equitable distance learning opportunities to all of our students. We do not have the ability to provide 1:1 technology to all students, and not all students have access to the internet.  We must strive to remain equitable. As a result, we will not be providing direct educational instruction at this time. Any resources already sent home by teachers are optional and not required. Teachers at this time are not being directed to send home assignments or lessons through Google Classroom or any other platform. If this changes, we will communicate with you as soon as possible.

Starting Monday, March 23, 2020, printed lists of these resources and links will be available for pick-up at our food distribution sites during the hours from 9:00-noon. This will include a list of other educational activities that do not require technology.

The Shelton School District is dedicated to doing the very best for all of our students and families during this difficult time.

Please check back frequently as we add more resources.
