The Shelton School District is committed to equitable learning opportunities for all of its students across the district. This includes ensuring that all students attend a school that is close to where they live. An Enrollment and Boundary Committee (EBC) has been formed with a wide spectrum of community-inspired citizens to look over the current internal school boundary lines, in place since 1992, to see where any changes could be made to better balance class size and equalize loads.
The Shelton School District and the city of Shelton have seen unprecedented growth over these years, and both are projected to grow more over the next 5 years.
This multi-year project starts with a listening session on Monday, November 7. No decisions will be made at this event, the EBC will listen and take input which will help to start focusing the committee on the needs of our families.
Food and Childcare will be provided.
Translators will also be available on-site. Please think about questions for the committee on how a boundary change to your current school might impact you and your student's learning potential.
