Music Curriculum AdoptionHere in the Shelton School District, we value music and its importance in education. Next school year, we are investing $200k+ into new instruments for junior and high school band students.

The Shelton School District is going through the adoption process for elementary music curriculum and you are invited to view the choices and provide us feedback.

The available options we are considering for adoption include MusicPlay and Quaver Music. The music curriculum options will be on display by the front desk in the District Office at 700 S. 1st St, from May 6th – 17th. Feedback forms will be available in English and Spanish at the District Office.

Following the adoption process, the adoption committee will use public feedback, internal checklists, and OSPI’s antibias tool, to make a recommendation to the Instructional Materials Committee. The Instructional Materials Committee will make a final recommendation to the school board about which curriculum to adopt.
