Summer P-EBT Benefits

The Shelton School District currently provides the opportunity for all students to receive meals at no charge this school year regardless of family income as part of the federally-funded Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). Our district qualifies for CEP by having high-poverty schools.

Because the district qualifies for CEP, families with students (Grades K-12) attending schools that provided meals during the 2022-23 school year, will receive a letter from the state in the mail, along with one pre-loaded Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) card(s) for $120 per student this summer. The letter will include information for families who wish to decline P-EBT benefits. Funds cannot be gifted or donated.

The Shelton School District does not have information about when funds will be added to the P-EBT cards and recommends signing-up for text message alerts to receive P-EBT updates from the state. Sign up here: https://www.textpebt.dshs.wa.gov/

If your family has received a P-EBT card in the past, you will receive a letter and existing P-EBT cards will be re-loaded with funds. If you do not have your P-EBT cards anymore, you can call the P-EBT Contact Center at 1-833-518-0282.
