Update from the Superintendent

December 31, 2020

Dear Parents and Families,

Happy New Year.

As you know based on an abundance of caution regarding COVID 19, the decision was made to cease all in person instruction from Tuesday, December 15, 2020 through Friday, December 18, 2020.

The current plan is to resume small group in person instruction as it was prior to Tuesday, December 15, 2020.  This effort will begin again on Monday, January 4, 2021.  The overall plan at this point continues to be that we will initiate in person learning, incorporating a hybrid model of instruction for pre-school through first grade beginning Monday, January 25, 2021.

I am working closely with our union leaders, cabinet and the school board to do everything possible to ensure a smooth transition for staff and students.  The health and safety of all of you permeates our planning and support in respect to school re-opening.

Please know I will keep you posted of any change in regards to our current plan.

Again, I wish you a much better 2021.
