Free Meals for the 2024-25 School Year

Thanks to funding from state and national school nutrition programs, our district will offer free breakfast and lunch to all students in the 2024-25 school year!

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) allows meals to be served to all students at no charge, regardless of free or reduced status. Students wanting to purchase milk only will be charged .50.

Families that qualify for Basic Food, TANF, FDPIR, ECEAP, Foster Care, Homeless, or Migrant may be automatically enrolled in the school meal program as “Directly Certified” for free meals.  Some Medicaid programs through DSHS may directly certify your student for free or reduced school meals.

Families that are directly certified will be sent a notification letter explaining their child (ren)’s qualification for free or reduced meals.  You do not need to complete the annual Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit (CNEEB) application if you receive a notification of approval letter.

All families that do not directly certify should complete the Child Nutrition Eligibility and Education Benefit application (below) this school year.  Qualifying applications provide important funding for our district and can provide additional benefits to families like waived school fees and summer food assistance (SUN bucks).

If you have any questions feel free to call the Food Service Department at 360-426-2533.
