Meet Sarah! Sarah will be joining our teaching team in the fall starting her ninth year in education!
Tell us about yourself!
I play the flute, I love making pie but I would rather eat any other dessert before eating pie, I’ve visited 7 countries.
What made you want to work for Shelton School District?
I am new to the area after being raised in Federal Way and then working for Federal Way Public Schools for the majority of my career. I want to work for Shelton School District so that I can get to know the community I live in better and serve the community that my kids will be a part of.
What do you love about teaching?
The thing I love most about teaching is getting to know and love the students in my classroom. I love witnessing a classroom full of students become like a family.
What is one way you hope to inspire, challenge, and/or empower students?
I hope to inspire my students to embrace their unique identity as they learn more about themselves as learners!
