The annual Back to School Festival will be held at Olympic Middle School on August 26, 2023, from 10am-1pm. At the festival, families will have the opportunity to receive free backpacks, school supplies, a meal, community resources, free haircuts by Cali Cutz, and more. Our goal is to have all of our students and families feel that they have access to the resources they need in order to successfully start out their school year.

Become a bus driver!
Become a bus driver!

The Mason County Transportation Cooperative continues to have a significant bus driver shortage. We understand the hardship this puts on families to provide transportation to and from school when bus routes cannot be filled. We are currently utilizing third-party transportation companies to assist with mandatory transportation requirements for homeless/McKinney-Vento students, and for students who need special education services.

Paraeducator publishes a children's book and will be interning with NASA

Congratulations to one of our Native Education para educators, Shawnell McFarlane! Shawnell wrote and illustrated a children's book on climate change that is being published titled Indigenous Connections. The story follows a young girl living in Alaska who is experiencing the effects of global warming. The girl meets a NASA scientist and the two learn and share about each other’s cultures and western and indigenous sciences.
